MUSEUM OF ILLUSIONS COPENHAGEN Experience the impossible

I went here with my son (age 5) and he loved all of it!!

Wonderful experience, fun gift shop, and great photo spots throughout the museum. It’s more of a photography spot than a museum, but me and my whole family ages 13-70 enjoyed it a lot 🙃 Worth the money and the wait.

Its a really fun place. In the centre of town and with lots of cool illustrations and illusions with a sections for games.. great fun for the whole family. 👍🏽

A MUST when visiting Copenhagen. So fun! We went as 2 sisters and loved it, I can imagine as a family it’d be even better

I visited the Museum of Illusions in Copenhagen on 16 September 2025, and I have to say — it was one of the most fun and mind‑bending experiences I’ve had in a long time. Every exhibit was creative, interactive, and surprising in ways that really made me rethink what I see. The visual illusions, the sensory installations, the playful photo spots — they all come together beautifully for a memorable visit.

What especially stood out was the kindness, attentiveness, and enthusiasm of the staff. Cille deserves special praise — she went above and beyond to help me experience everything at its best. She not only guided me through how some of the more complex illusions worked, but also suggested the best angles and moments for photos, making what could have been a simple walkthrough into something celebratory and delightful. True care was evident in how she treated even small details. It’s clear that she and the rest of the team are dedicated to making each visitor feel welcome, curious, and engaged.

Thank you so much, Cille, and the entire MOI team, for helping make my visit exceptional. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Copenhagen — whether you’re travelling solo, with friends, or family. It’s not just a museum; it’s an experience you’ll remember.

This place is really cool, and it's included in the Copenhagen Card. What's really good is that it's open until 10pm, so once the other attractions have started closing, there's still places you can go if you're wanting to maximise your stay in the city.

Both our children loved it, 13 and 9 years old, and so did their parents. Honestly, if you're in the city, looking for something to do later on, this is a must.

Amazing experience for everyone, very fun!

We visited as a family of 5 people across 3 generations (ages from 9 - 71). Every single one of us had a blast, it was so much fun. Really pleased that there were so many things that younger children could interact with, and create some interesting and unusual memories! Got to mention, the staff were fantastic too, they helped us with photos and navigation and all seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. The place is well worth a visit! And some of the photos are hilarious!

Thoroughly enjoyable place. No mirror illusions as I had expected (concave convex or elongated as seen in other places) but more scientific based on visual and brain perceptions. Each exhibit had an explanation which was very useful. There are 2 floors and there is even a room where you can spend hours trying to play popular puzzles ( Rubiks Cube type) and giving up in frustration. Great fun

It's a very interesting place to stimulate your brain. My family enjoyed it so much. My 4-year-old son didn't feel bored at all. It's a great fun place for family.

Really fun hour. It wasn't super busy so we were able to fly around and didn't have to wait at any station. There were a bunch of thought provoking and fun stations and some chill out area with brain teaser puzzles to play with. Toilets half way round were much appreciated too.

Very interesting experience, great for all ages. Everyone in the family had loads of fun with many mind boggling experiments. We took many funny photos with the illusions. The staff was great, specially Gonçalo, that taught us a couple of tricks to get better photos and a better mind-bending experience from The Vortex room. Since the exhibit is open until later than most museums, it's great to go as a day ending experience.

Definitely a place worth visiting if you have extra time to use in Copenhagen as a first time traveler.

Absolutely awesome 😎 did this as a nice evening activity, me, my partner and my 8 year old daughter absolutely loved it. Wonderful exhibits, great photo opportunities, and very helpful, friendly and welcoming staff. We had an absolute blast!

The museum is fabulous, you can spend so much time playing with the exhibitions. Goncalo was particularly helpful showing us how to take the perfect photo.
