Would you like to visit, experience, and explore a unique and fun museum where reality and illusions creatively come together?

 

Our museum features optical constructions and illustrations where light, movement, colors, perspectives, and reflections create the most amazing and entertaining optical illusions. Subjects like mathematics, natural sciences, visual arts, and history naturally become part of the visit. Students can, for instance, experiment with perspective and thus learn the fundamental principles of art and photography.

 

The exhibits are interactive, and we encourage both students and teachers to actively participate by looking at, touching, and becoming part of the many works, so the numerous illusions truly come to life. You can take your own photos, as playing with perspectives to create the perfect illusion in a picture enhances the learning experience—while also being fun. A mobile phone is, therefore, an essential tool.

Join our Fantastic writing competition

We’re inviting students in Years 3–6 with an interest in writing to create a short story inspired by illusions and take part in our 2026 Competition. It’s a wonderful opportunity for school children to let their imagination run wild and express their creativity. The winning story earns a free entry to the Museum for the entire class, and we’re bringing the story to life in one of our exhibits.

  • 1. Visit on Your Own

    Use the teacher’s guide and student worksheets with ideas and inspiration for class activities before, during, and after the visit. This way, you can support the class’s work at the museum.

  • 2. Guided Tour

    Let our amazing illusion experts guide you through a world of optical illusions.

    Target Audience: Grades 0–10
    Duration: 1 hour
    Price: 1,100 DKK for two guides + admission ticket 50 DKK per person (max 30 participants)

  • 3. The Hunt for the Illusion

    In this exciting program, the class will meet Penrose, our time-traveling explorer who is trapped in the museum. The class must help Penrose solve tasks and work together to uncover the code to the treasure, which will help Penrose understand the difference between reality and illusion.

    Target Audience: Grades 3–6
    Visit Duration: 90 minutes, including introduction, activities, summary, and free exploration time
    Price: 1,200 DKK + admission ticket 50 DKK per person

  • 4. The Hunt for the Illusion

    The class embarks on a hunt for fascinating illusions, solves tasks, and uncovers a secret code that holds the key to the hidden treasure. The students also get the opportunity to dive deeper into selected illusions and explore them further when they return to the creative environment of the classroom.

    Target Audience: Grades 6–9
    Visit Duration: 90 minutes, including introduction, activities, summary, and free exploration time at the museum

Terms for School Visits

â–Ș  Book your visit in advance by completing the booking form.

â–Ș Payment can be made in cash or by card upon arrival. A payment link can also be sent to you.

â–Ș EAN numbers or invoices are not accepted.

â–Ș School tickets are only valid on weekdays with a confirmed pre-booking.

â–Ș School visits cannot be scheduled on weekends, public holidays, or during vacation periods.

â–Ș The above school prices are only valid for Danish public schools from grades 0 to 10

â–Ș For high schools, youth education programs, and foreign schools, prices are available upon request via the booking form.
